Introducing the First Annual FREEDOM GAMES! This year’s Independence Day Bash is about to get WAY more interactive. We have planned a series of fun and exciting games for residents to compete in! Also, back by popular demand, we will be having a bike parade to kick off the competition. Below is the itinerary and instructions for all of the games including the age groups that will be competing during that time:
• 5:45 pm (Bike Parade) [All Ages]
• 6:00 pm (Paper Plane Game) – INSTRUCTIONS: Contestants will be given a single sheet of card stock paper and will have five minutes to craft their airplane of choice. After time is up, contestants will line up in a single file line and begin throwing their airplanes one by one. Whoever’s plane travels the farthest from the start line will be the winner. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker will be held to determine the winner.
6:00 pm - [Ages 4-6]
6:10 pm - [Ages 7-9]
6:20 pm - [Ages 10 & up]
• 6:30 pm (Simon Says) – INSTRUCTIONS: Contestants will play a classic game of “Simon Says.” Players only obey commands that begin with "Simon says." If a command is given without "Simon says," they should not follow it. Any player who follows an incorrect command is out of the game. Last person standing will be the winner.
6:30 pm - [Ages 4-6]
6:40 pm - [Ages 7-9]
6:50 pm - [Ages 10 & up]
• 7:00 pm (Catch Game) – INSTRUCTIONS: Contestants will team up in pairs for this game. Starting one step from each other, they will pass the given tennis ball to their partner. After each successful “catch” both contestants will take a single step back and continue throwing until there is only one pair left standing. If a team drops their tennis ball, they are out. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker will be held to determine the winner.
7:00 pm - [Ages 4-6]
7:10 pm - [Ages 7-9]
7:20 pm - [Ages 10 & up]
• 7:30 pm (Dice Roll) – INSTRUCTIONS: Contestants that won prior games will line up for one final game. Contestants will be given three foam dice. The sum of the dice will determine the winner of this game. Highest roll wins. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker will be held to determine the winner.
7:30 pm - [winners from prior games]
We cannot wait for all the planned fun activities at the event! See you there!!
