Learn to Make Dorset Buttons - Fall Edition

Dorset buttons are a traditional type of handmade button made by working simple stitches in thread around a ring. This style of button originated in the English county of Dorset, remaining popular until 1850, after which it was overtaken by machine-made buttons from factories. Instructor Rebecca Heid is dedicated to keeping this fiber art tradition alive. She will expertly guide you through creating a lovely design in autumn colors, which can then become an ornament, pendant, pin, or decorative accent on a pillow, barrette, or headband.
