Spiritual First Responders: Church Hurt

There are moments or even seasons in our lives when the people and institutions we trust the most let us down. At times these moments can be instances of harm and abuse. At other times these moments can be a repeated cycle of small instances that leads to mistrust and broken relationships. Both of these situations have become referred to as “church hurt”. These peer support groups are intended to care for those who long for spiritual wholeness in the aftermath of such hurt. Over the course of four weeks we will explore trauma-informed spiritual practices that can help participants begin the process of healing.

Groups run for four, two-hour sessions on Sunday evenings beginning August 10th through August 31st. Groups will meet at Mission Chattanooga at 806 E. 12th St.
