About Root Beer Float Day:
National Root Beer Float Day holds a special place for Marriott, commemorating the launch of J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott's 9-seat A&W Root Beer stand in Washington, D.C. in 1927, which marked the beginning of their hospitality empire. Since 1983, Marriott has been a dedicated supporter of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, raising funds to ensure children receive the highest quality care.
