Mahjong Classes with Caspari- August

Molly from Oh my Mahjong is returning to the Caspari Flagship store to instruct five sessions!

Friday, August 22nd

Mahjong 101 Class // 9:30am - 12:00pm

Class Description: Your introductory crash course to learn the basics to your newest obsession… Mahjong! Learn everything from the tiles, to the Card to all of the unique aspects of gameplay including the deal, dancing of the tiles known as The Charleston, and much more. You'll leave this lesson wondering when you get to play again next!

Mahjong Strategy // Card Class 1:00pm - 3:30pm

Class Description: Come take a deeper dive into developing the skills and strategy needed to play Mahjong! This is a class for those who have already taken Mahjong 101 and 102. We will practice the steps for how to deal, go over important rules, and we will play Mahjong! Molly will walk around and continue to offer guidance and add in layers of strategy to help you further master your Mahjong skills.

Mahjong Open Play! // 4:00pm-6:30pm

Description: *New* You're invited to join us for an evening of open play Mahjong! Join other people who play Mahjong and enjoy light bites, wine, and a 10% discount on Mahjong table accessories. Open Play Mahjong is designed for players who know the basics of Mahjong play but open to all ability levels. Bring your own group or come with a friend! For those who sign up as a 1 or 2, we will seat players according to their ability levels. Molly will be here to help answer questions and offer strategies should you want to learn more.

Note - there will be no formal lessons given at this class.

Saturday August 23rd

Mahjong 101 Class // 9:30am - 12:00pm

Class Description: Welcome to Mahjong 102 where your mahjong abilities expand to new heights! Throughout this guided play lesson, you will practice all aspects of gameplay including the deal, The Charleston, and that oh-so-tricky task of finding a fine line!

Mahjong 102 /Class/ 1:00pm - 3:30pm

Class Description: Come take a deeper dive into developing the skills and strategy needed to play Mahjong! We will practice the steps for how to deal, go over important rules, and we will play Mahjong!

Suggestions for Class sign up:

1. Mahjong 101
2. Mahjong 102
3. Strategy

Note, Open Play can be for anyone who has already had the Mahjong 101 and/ or 102. Beginners are welcome and will be seated with other beginners but must already know how to play. No formal instruction on play will take place at Open Play or 2025 Card Classes.
