About the event

Guided Meditation and Dharma Talk with Anna Vanhoy
Does compassion fatigue exist?

Compassion is a core practice in Buddhism. It is one of the four divine abodes, or brahmaviharas, along with Loving Kindness, Sympathetic Joy, and Equanimity. We are invited to have compassion, the desire to end suffering, for all sentient beings.

Though Compassion arises naturally, it can be difficult for us to practice when perceptions and emotions overshadow the desire to end the suffering of others.

This evening we will discuss our understanding of what Compassion is and wholesome ways to practice Compassion for ourselves, for sentient beings for whom we care, and for those we may find to be difficult.
