Do you love romantasy? Have you read as much of it as you can get your hands on and wondered to yourself, "How do I actually use those daggers like Violet?" Well, we at Swordwind can teach you!
In this beginner workshop, you'll learn some fun, foundational movements of wielding the dagger as a weapon, taught by coaches and senior students from Swordwind Historical Swordsmanship.
All gear will be provided for you! Just come as you are in some comfy clothes you can move around in. We recommend bringing a bottle of water, but we also have a water fountain for those that may need it.
Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the start of class to allow time for finding the meeting location and for check in.
What will this workshop cover? We will start the class with a short warm-up, followed by an introductory game. We will then get into a series of historically accurate, deadly, and flashy dagger moves worthy of Basgiath. At the end of class, you'll show off what you've learned by striking one of our instructors (which will also be a great opportunity for videos or photos).
We will have breaks for water and stretching out sore muscles throughout the course. There will be time after class to discuss historical European martial arts as well as any other questions you may have!
