This performance will be a unique one-night-only collaboration between several diverse artists whose paths would not ordinarily cross.
Musical duo Arco & Aire, featuring Heyni Solera on bandoneon and Maxfield Wollam Fisher on cello, will play their new album of original tango music, titled “Una Noche Entre Sueños,” from start to finish. This album consists of eight original tango compositions by living composers. Each piece will feature live dancing in a variety of styles including tango, contemporary ballet, and modern dance.
Performers will include Jesica Cutler & John Miller, a professional tango couple from Denver, Sarah Harkins, who will perform a solo ballet piece and dance a tango with Matthew, and several of Charlotte’s top ballet & modern/contemporary dancers including The Long Room’s own Megan Payne.
