Swimming Paul is a French electronic music producer known for his innovative soundscapes and unique production style. His music is characterized by mesmerizing rhythms, ethereal soundscapes, and intricate sound design, often incorporating unusual samples. Swimming Paul's journey began with a calling to create music that transcends the typical boundaries of dance music. He was inspired by the early days of house music and its power to unite people. His debut album, "Smiling Through the Pain," released in 2024, reflects his personal journey of battling burnout, anxiety, and the mental challenges of a fast-paced career. The album is a collection of monthly singles released over a year, culminating in an hour-long musical journey.
Prior to his solo project, Swimming Paul spent several years producing music for other artists. His debut EP in 2022 garnered early praise for its polished production and introspective songwriting. He has been described as an artist who blends bedroom and club music with flair, striking a balance between melancholy and the desire to move. His music has resonated with fans of artists like Disclosure, Fred again.., and Overmono.
