More Than 250: Tories and Patriots

The American Revolution was more than a war—it was a transformative moment for the people who lived through it and the generations who came after. More Than 250 is a thought-provoking series of panel discussions that explores the experiences of groups who lived, fought, resisted, and endured in the greater Charlotte region before, during, and after the Revolutionary War.

This panel will explore the roles of Tories and Patriots in the Carolina Backcountry during the American Revolution. How did divided loyalties affect relationships? How did the conflict define the region’s experience? Join expert historians Hugh Dussek (CPCC), Bill Anderson (author), and Zach Lemhouse (Southern Revolutionary War Institute) for this thought-provoking discussion.
