Dr. Matt Borden – Plant Pathologist – Common Garden Pests

As every seasoned gardener knows, pest management is a never-ending concern. Some seek aesthetic perfection and gain frustration. Others surrender to sharing the garden with every hungry critter. If we can’t beat the pests, we should at least understand them better. In some cases, we may even learn to respect these organisms for their peculiar virtues and thereby assuage our frustration. In this lecture, we will explore several problematic pests, diseases, and cultural practices in our landscapes from a perspective that benefits the gardener and brings us closer to our landscapes. There may be moments of self-reflection as we work to improve our plants’ health.

$15 for non-members
