Sgt. Bertram 5K-9 Race/Walk

The 5K-9 Race is held in remembrance of our fallen K-9 Officer, Sgt. Benton Bertram, who lost his life bravely serving his community on Dec. 12th 2018. Ben's love of dogs inspired this event to be dog friendly & encourages participants to bring their furry friends to run/walk the race! That's why it's called a 5K-9!

550 Foundation is a 501c(3) non-profit, started in honor of Sgt. Bertram, with a mission to provide free fully trained K-9's, free training & equipment to law enforcement K-9 Divisions in Indiana.

AND

The children of the late Deborah Meyer.
We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Deborah, a devoted mother of 3 young children. In this time of immense grief, her children are being lovingly cared for by family. We believe our community has the power to offer them hope & stability. Your participation in the race will directly contribute to ensuring these children have the support they need during this transition in their lives.
