I want to buy a camera, but the choices are too confusing. What should I buy?
If you’ve asked yourself these questions, our Introduction to Photography course will answer these questions and more and help you take your photography to the next level. Our course will cover the following:
● Essentials of photography and how to take better photographs
● Types of Cameras and lenses
● Basic camera settings and how they affect your photo
● The exposure triangle – ISO, shutter speed and aperture and how they affect your photo
● The camera’s metering system and how it affects your images
● Semi-automatic and Manual Modes to ensure that your photo looks like what you saw
● Basic rules of composition to create visually appealing images
● Shooting in jpeg or RAW
● Introduction to Photo editing
All you need is an open mind and a willingness to learn. If you already have a camera, bring it with you to class. While the course is aimed primarily at interchangeable lens cameras, the basic concepts apply to all types of cameras - cell phones, point and shoot, digital SLR’s and Mirrorless cameras. Yes, you can even change the settings on your cell phone camera!
