Summer Evening Birding Walk

In lieu of our second Thursday meeting and program, we will be hosting evening birding walks during the summer! June 12th will be our first walk at McKinley Woods- Frederick’s Grove in Channahon. Meet at the second/lower parking lot (drive until you can go no further) at 6:30pm. We will be exploring through wooded areas and along the I&M Canal. Trails are dirt and gravel. This area is a birding hotspot in Will County with commonly seen species such as Prothonotary Warblers, American Redstarts, Pileated Woodpeckers, Great-crested Flycatchers, Barred Owls and much much more!

*Please dress appropriately for hiking and the weather, and don’t forget your bug spray!!
