Linocut Printing - Getting Serious!

“I want it ALL! Don’t leave anything out”. Is this you? Have you already been bitten by the linocut printing bug? Yes, I know, it’s addictive! If you already know the very basics and are ready to take it up a notch, then let’s do this! I will go over tools and their maintenance, various printing papers and inks, registration and how to print with more than one color using the reduction method. This workshop will be presented in one four-hour session so we will have plenty of time with no need to rush. You’ll go home with a set of your own original two-color linocut prints, and the knowledge and skills to keep going.

This workshop will be held in my cozy and well-equipped studio in Champaign.

All tools and materials will be provided. Some previous experience with linocut is helpful, but not required.

Students age 14 and up are welcome.
