This winter, the Nova Arts Festival returns with its celebrated showcase of bold, original One-Act Plays—offering a platform for emerging voices, daring storytelling, and theatrical innovation. Over four unique performances, audiences will experience five original short plays back-to-back in one thrilling evening of theatre.

This year’s theme, “The Things We Keep,” explores the memories we cling to, the secrets we bury, and the identities we protect. Sometimes treasured, sometimes haunting—each story unpacks what we choose to hold onto, and what holds onto us.

Expect drama, absurdism, physical theatre, and intimate monologue from some of South Africa’s most exciting young creators.
