Cross Ranch Painting at the Park with Ali LaRock for Kids

Get inspired by the nature and surroundings of Cross Ranch State Park. Local artist Ali LaRock will work with young artists to help them create a simple mini sketchbook which they will use while they walk through the park to observe and sketch what they are inspired by. This could be the Missouri River, trees, plants, birds etc. They will then learn fun skills and techniques to turn these observations into beautiful ink and watercolor paintings.

Ages 6-12

No experience required! Bring your friends and get ready to create in nature at this unique and interactive event. Don't miss out on the chance to unleash your creativity and take home a mini sketchbook and painting. See you there!

Please only sign up for 1 art class per kid for the summer to allow others the opportunity.

Please complete registration for each child that will be attending.

Water and a small snack will be provided.

Please have students wear appropriate footwear to walk in the park and don't forget to apply sunscreen.

By signing up, you give consent for your child to be photographed for purposed related to Northern Plains National Heritage Area, including promotion and documentation use.

Parents can stay or drop off their child.

Please note: If you plan to utilize the park before and/or after the event, please ensure that you have a ND Parks pass displayed on your vehicle.
