Join NewBo City Market for our Summer Culinary Camps!
Back for 2025 is Ms. Carly Hachey, a teacher in the Linn-Mar district with over 17 years of experience in the classroom and TWO masters degrees in education. She will guide our campers through a week full of food-based learning! Kids will have the chance to explore different topics through activities taking place in the Market Yard and Culinary Kitchen. All activities will be age appropriate , educational, and most of all, FUN!
June 23-26: Farm to Table Adventures
Campers will learn about where food comes from by researching local farms, understanding how to harvest their own ingredients, cooking meals using fresh produce straight from the farm, and learning how to grow herbs and vegetables. This theme celebrates all things garden-inspired! Join us for a hands-on way to learn about sustainability and appreciation for nature's bounty!
THIS CAMP IS FOR KIDS 8-12 YEARS OLD.
Camps are held from 9am-3pm, Monday-Thursday at NewBo City Market (1100 3rd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, IA, 52401).
Dropoff is from 8:40-9:00 and pickup is from 3:00-3:20pm.
Campers are required to pack a lunch.
