A 2-day seminar/workshop designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitude of the participants on cost management. It includes the processes (cost estimating, cost budgeting and cost monitoring & control) to ensure that the project is completed within the approved budget and is primarily concerned with the cost of the resources needed to complete project activities.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the seminar, the participants shall be able to:
• develop a reliable estimate of the costs of the resources needed to complete project activities
• aggregate the estimated costs of individual activities or work packages to establish a cost baseline (S-curve)
• monitor the status of the project to update the project costs
• control changes to the cost baseline (includes tips on how to resolve cost overruns)
