Kinju plays original music combining elements of hard-bop, blues, gospel, latin, funk and world music Their ‘super-hip’, original tunes are influenced by the cool sounds of the Blue Note label and players like Miles, Monk, Mingus and the Messengers but essentially the aim is a joyous, soulful, laid-back ‘blowout’.
