Celebrate the summer season, and participate in a good cause with the Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks free concert series.
July through September, join the fun from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. While this is a free event, donations will be accepted for the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation and profits from beverage sales at this event contribute to the fundraising efforts.
About the band:
Nineteen years after founding indie-folk giants Paper Bird, vocalist Sarah Anderson and songwriter/guitarist Paul DeHaven embark on their latest collaboration: Heavy Diamond Ring. HDR harnesses their proven signature partnership of open-hearted, all-American folk-rock toward refreshing new territories.
Led by Anderson’s smooth-as-honey vocals and DeHaven’s rugged guitar chops, the band has been described as “open-road, long drive music,” possessing “a little bit of twang, and a whole lot of beef,” and their live show as “infectious and contagious.”
Heavy Diamond Ring's newest album, "Wildflower Lane," will be out in June 2025
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. Pack a picnic dinner and enjoy some time with the family before the show. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Note, no outside beverages are allowed. However, one sealed water bottle per person is permitted. Bag checks will be conducted at the entrance.
