Sew & Steady Level 1: Basic pants or shorts (your choice)
These basic bottoms are a great introduction to reading patterns, taking body measurements, understanding sewing terminology and symbols, and interpreting both the written directions and the diagrams.
Included in your class is the multi-sized PDF pattern, 6 hours of enthusiastic and knowledgeable instruction, use of sewing machines, tools, and notions. PRIOR SEWING MACHINE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS CLASS.
FABRIC IS ONLY PROVIDED FOR SHORTS AND IS LIMITED TO WHAT WE HAVE IN STOCK. You will need 2 yards of fabric for shorts and 3 yards for pants.
Suggested fabrics are: cotton, flannel, linen. Challenging fabrics are silk, satin and rayon. DO NOT bring stretchy fabrics or plush fabrics like fleece.

"Sew & Steady" is a relaxed pace series in which we take it slowly, dive into the zen of sewing, and enjoy the satisfaction of completing a project within your class time-- no homework!
Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors will guide you through each step of the project, sewing right along with you to show you in real time how to tackle your sewing. You will also learn how to troubleshoot any sewing problems you might encounter either with the project itself, or with your sewing machine. This way you never feel like you are going it alone!
Class Requirements
Sewing 101 or prior sewing machine experience
You must know how to thread your machine and load your bobbin, maintain a comfortable sewing speed on your machine, and sew a straight-ish line (heavy on the ISH!)

Sample Class Format
First class: Take body measurements, find your size on the pattern and begin construction.
Second class: Sew seams, in-seam pockets, casings and hems. Insert elastic for waistband. Complete construction.
