Dragonflies and Damselflies with Jon Van Gowler

Would you like to learn more about our native Dragonflies and Damselflies?

Come and spend the day at Carymoor and learn from Jon van Gowler about these fascinating insects. The course will be a mix of an indoor talk and then exploring the ponds and wetlands to put our identification skills to the test.

We will look at tenerals (the newly emerged adults that is still hardening its exoskeleton and developing its final colours), gender identification and common confusions.
