Playing with Leaves is rooted in a childhood game, in which Mario collected leaves to create images - planes, faces, cars - using them to tell stories that helped him make sense of my world.
Mario has since revisited this childhood ‘leaf game’ and it has evolved into a profound artistic exploration. Meticulously crafting realistic leaves from leather, capturing their vibrancy and stages of decomposition. This exhibition showcases the unique sensory pleasure that forms when playing with leaves.
