A Taste of Eastern Europe – Guided Dinner and Wine Pairing with Local Chefs

In collaboration with Sophie’s Grill and Bar:

Eastern Europe meets Raleigh, North Carolina. Celebrate old world flavors and learn about family recipes and traditions.

Sophie’s Grill is a family endeavor helmed by first generation immigrants to America. Owner and chef Desislava or “Desy” hails from Bulgaria and started her restaurant as a way to share the love and hospitality of her grandmother’s cooking. Her staff is comprised of Chef Cristina from Romania, Sommelier Dalibor from Serbia, and Pastry Chef Neli also from Bulgaria.

With this experience you will explore the authentic flavors from the country of Georgia. This includes four delicious small plates taking you on a culinary journey around the country and using the highest quality ingredients. To pair, each plate will have a different Georgian wine bottled exclusively for Sophie’s to highlight the flavors of the dish: two whites and two reds for variety.
