Stone's Throw will hold open auditions for "Sylvia", written by A.R. Gurney, on Monday, August 18th and Tuesday, August 19th beginning at 6:30 pm. Under the direction of Betsy Fleischaker, this show will take the stage on October 3-5 and 10-12.
Four (4) women and two (2) men are need for this production.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Evening rehearsals will begin on Monday, August 25th.
Synopsis: Married couple Greg & Kate find their careers heading in opposite directions. When Greg goes to the park to contemplate his future, he finds a dog, "Sylvia", and decides to bring her home. Sylvia offers Greg an escape from the frustrations of his job; but to Kate, the dog becomes a rival for affection. Will this conflict result in the end of their marriage, or will Greg and Kate learn to compromise, allowing Sylvia to become a valued part of their lives.
