� 2nd Annual High Sierra Motor Officer Training Challenge �
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is hosting its 22nd Extreme Motor Officer Training Challenge. Partnering with the Reno Police Department and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for their 2nd Annual Sierra Motor Officer Training Challenge.
This year’s event will be held on the 27th and 28th of June, 2025, and will be held in Downtown Carson, on South Carson Street. The training event is open to the public for spectating.
The training is open to current certified motor officers, as well as advanced civilian riders. Motor officers will be training, riding, and discussing riding techniques with various motor instructors. This training event is designed to help motor officers enhance their riding skills through challenging skill patterns, camaraderie, and some friendly competition.
Training and practice will be held on June 27th, 2025, starting around 0700 a.m. and ending around 3pm. The training and practice will take place on South Carson Street in front of the State Capitol building. Following the training and practice time, the team events will begin and kick off this year’s event. All participants will be invited to a training ride through the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The escort will return to Carson City, where riders will meet for Dinner. Dinner location is to be determined.
On June 28th, 2025, the training and competitiveness continue with individual events starting around 0800 hours and running through 1700. After the event, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office will host an award ceremony in front of the Police Officer Memorial.
