QPR Suicide Prevention is a one hour evidence based training that teaches participants simple steps anyone can learn to help safe a life. You will learn the warning signs of suicide, suicide myths and facts, and how to help someone in crisis.

Content Warning:
We know that talking about suicide can be a difficult topic for many people. The goal is to have this training be a safe space and give you the tools to recognize warning signs for persons served, each other, and your loved ones. The training is not recorded, and we ask that anything shared during the training remains confidential. If you are going through any type of recent trauma right now or may be struggling yourself with suicide, this may not be the day to complete this training. If you no longer would like to participate in this training, please let me know, and I will un-register you.
Participation Requirements per Hope Network:
-Please join 5 minutes early to test your audio and video. If you join more than 5 minutes after the training start time or you do not participate in the breakout session, you will not receive credit for the course.
-Although the class is in the form of a webinar, the class expectations for participation and involvement are the same for a live presentation. Because we are held to strict standards regarding training content and compliance by the State and various funding sources, these expectations have to be maintained. If you do not have the proper equipment, we also offer in-person sessions.
-A participant’s device must have a functioning camera, microphone and speakers; all three must be on during the entire presentation. In addition, the participant must be on screen and visible during the entire presentation.
-Throughout the webinar, you will be called on to participate and share your insights… this is a necessary requirement of the class.
