Mirror Trio is a Pittsburgh-based ensemble of innovative experimental jazz musicians. Their immersive sound blends drone, noise, and improvisation—offering rich sonic textures in a boundary-pushing performance The trio comprises cellist Ricki Weidenhof, bassist Jeff Weston, and keyboardist Jason Belcher. Their performances are characterized by deep listening, dynamic improvisation, and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of sound. Mirror Trio has been featured in performances supporting Bill Nace, Tatsuya Nakatani, Gabriel Zucker, and Till Jarvis.
Joining the ensemble for this special performance is guest artist Christopher McCune, a drummer, percussionist, and vocalist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Most recently, McCune has contributed to recordings by Wild Onion, Odno Okno, Dendritic Arbor, Locks and Dams, Bear Skull, Dreme, and the Trimm-McCune duo.
