About this Event

Bwyd Sir Gâr Food yw Partneriaeth Bwyd Lleol Sir Gaerfyrddin. Ein nod yw cyd-greu system fwyd leol sy’n addas ar gyfer cenedlaethau’r dyfodol sy’n cynhyrchu, yn hyrwyddo ac yn helpu i ddarparu bwyd fforddiadwy, iach a chynaliadwy i bawb.

Hoffem estyn gwahoddiad i ddysgu mwy am ein prosiectau diweddar, ac am brosiectau eraill Synnwyr Bwyd Cymru, y partner cyflawni cenedlaethol ar gyfer Partneriaethau Bwyd Lleol a'r rhaglen Lleoedd Bwyd Cynaliadwyi Gymru.

Ar y fferm mae’r bartneriaeth, a arweinir gan Gyngor Sir Caerfyrddin, yn tyfu bwyd ar gyfer marchnadoedd lleol, yn cynnal digwyddiadau iechyd, lles a chymunedol, ac yn cynnal cylch peiriannau ar gyfer garddwriaeth.

Yn fwyaf diweddar rydym wedi bod yn gweithio ar Gronfa Ffyniant Gyffredin Llywodraeth y DU ‘Prosiect Datblygu System Fwyd ar gyfer Sir Gaerfyrddin,’ dan arweiniad Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin, gyda phartneriaid cyflawni yn cynnwys tîm Gwella Iechyd Cymunedol Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Hywel Dda, Ffermydd a Gerddi Cymdeithasol, Cymdeithas Gwasanaethau Gwirfoddol Sir Gaerfyrddin, a Synnwyr Bwyd Cymru. Mae'r prosiect hwn wedi'i gyd-gynllunio gyda chymunedau a rhanddeiliaid ar draws y sir. Y nod yw galluogi mynediad mwy cynhwysol a chynaliadwy at fwyd iach ar lefel gymunedol a thrwy gaffael cyhoeddus, a chryfhau cadwyni cyflenwi byr. Y canolbwynt ar gyfer y gwaith hwn fu Fferm Sir Bremenda Isaf, gan dreialu model ‘tir cyhoeddus i blât cyhoeddus’, a datblygu seilwaith a chyfleusterau a rennir ar gyfer cydgasglu a llwybrau i’r farchnad. Yn ogystal, rydym wedi bod yn cyflenwi cynnyrch i raglen genedlaethol Synnwyr Bwyd Cymru ‘Llysiau Cymreig mewn Ysgolion’ peilot yn gweithio gyda Bwydydd Castell Howell.

Bydd cyfle i fynd ar daith o gwmpas y fferm. Mae cinio am ddim wedi’i gynnwys.

Bwyd Sir Gâr Food is Carmarthenshire’s Local Food Partnership. Our aim is to co-create a local food system fit for future generations that produces, promotes and helps provide affordable, healthy and sustainable food for all.

We would like to extend an invitation to learn more about our recent projects, and that of Food Sense Wales, the national delivery partner for Local Food Partnerships and the Sustainable Food Places programme for Wales.

At the farm the partnership, led by Carmarthenshire County Council, are growing food for local markets, running health, wellbeing and community events, and hosting a machinery ring for horticulture.

Most recently we have been working on a UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund ‘Food System Development Project for Carmarthenshire,’ led by Carmarthenshire County Council, with delivery partners including Hywel Dda University Health Board Community Health Improvement team, Social Farms & Gardens, Carmarthenshire Association of Voluntary Services, and Food Sense Wales. This project has been co-designed with communities and stakeholders across the county. The aim is to enable more inclusive access to healthy and sustainable food at a community level and through public procurement, and to strengthen short supply chains. The focal point for this work has been Bremenda Isaf County Farm, trialling a ‘public land to public plate’ model, and developing shared infrastructure and facilities for aggregation and routes to market. Additionally, we have been supplying produce into Food Sense Wales’s national ‘Welsh Veg in Schools’ pilot working with Castell Howell Foods.

There will be an opportunity for a tour of the farm. A free lunch is included.
