Explore culinary herbs at the Let’s Talk Herbs workshop with the Penn State Master Gardeners of Cumberland County on Saturday, July 12, 9:30am-12:00pm, at the Penn State Extension office in Cumberland County located at 310 Allen Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
The program begins with an informative introduction to invasive species including the Asian jumping worm, spotted lanternfly, and boxwood tree moth. Then enjoy an engaging presentation exploring the benefits of growing, harvesting, and using culinary herbs such as basil, oregano, parsley, rosemary, lavender, mint, and more. Following a guided tour of the Allen Road Herb Garden, participants will create their own take-home herb container garden using a provided 10-inch container, potting soil, and a curated selection of herbs.
