Maine Open Farm Day 2025

Join us for Maine Open Farm Day this year and help us celebrate the 40th anniversary of the change of business name from Red Wagon Farm to McElwain's Strawberry Farm!! Alot has changed since 1985!! We still grow delicious strawberries, squash, and pumpkins and now offer our customers fresh veggies and fruit throughout the summer and fall.
On July 27th, we will have wagon rides around the farm, storybook walk through the fairy woods, playground fun on the slides and red barn swings., corn-hole games, sand table, and antique Massey Ferguson to play farmer on.
Face painting, self guided farm walk, farm tool museum, and a free raffle for merch.
Fundraiser luncheon served from 11-1, and co-sponsored by Key Bank features grilled hotdogs and rolls, Chef Phil's famous potato salad, maple baked beans, and ice cream with strawberries.
All proceeds from the lunch will be donated to the Caribou Ecumenical Food Pantry.
The farmstore will be open from 10-4 with new potatoes, broccoli, lettuce, other seasonal veggies, blueberries, raspberries, honey, strawberry jam, and maple syrup.
