EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONSE TRAINING

This course will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to deliver quality trauma care in less than ideal environments. You will learn to overcome the unique challenges and considerations that may come with providing traumatic injury care. In this course, you will learn the following:

Develop a plan to assess and manage a scene where a potentially traumatic injury or injuries may exist, where resources may be limited and environments uncertain.

Acquiring proficiency in applying trauma care interventions.

Gain knowledge of special considerations that may exist for field trauma scenarios.

Be exposed to skills such as tourniquet application, wound packing, chest seal applications, airway and respiration management, and hypo and hyperthermia treatments.

Understand the principles of medical evacuation and coordination of care with professional responders.
