Big Queer Picnic is an alternative Pride event in Sophia Gardens that is dog friendly and accessibility friendly. We will be having a blanket there for people who want to enjoy a substance free grouping. Bring along a packed lunch, some snacks and celebrate pride with us!
There will be:
🐾 Dog show with prizes to be won! 🏆
🐾 Free treats and chews for pooches! 🍗
🐾 Water for pooches to drink and drench (not at the same time!) 💦
🐾 Polaroid photo of you and your pooch (Limited to first 30 people!) 📸
Please take note of the following:
🏳️⚧️ Our safeguarding commitment limits us to welcoming people aged 18 years and over. This includes individuals wishing to join our picnic blanket.
🏳️🌈 We ask participants joining our group to sign a disclaimer agreeing to respect our mission and values. This includes being a substance free social space. This is to ensure the time spent in our group is welcoming, safe and enjoyable. For more information visit:

🏳️⚧️ We require participants bringing along their dog(s) to sign a disclaimer that confirms they will take full responsibility for their dog(s) and any interactions that may happen with other people and dogs while at our blanket.
🏳️🌈 Please keep an eye on the weather and dress appropriately. There will be no shade/protection other than the trees and nature’s elements. We have a small cooler box to store your beverages. We also have a camping fan and a few sports ice packs available.
🏳️⚧️ We have a strict 1 member of staff to 6 dogs policy, meaning there can only be a maximum of 12 dogs at our picnic blanket. There is no limit on the number of people who can join us though!
