A circular walk around the 3 peaks overlooking Cardiff, starting and finishing in Tongwynlais. This walk will take you up the Garth Mountain, Craig y Allt and Caerphilly Mountain. This is approximately 13 miles or 21 kilometres and involves 750m of ascent (or 2,500 feet), mostly off road. It will be a challenge, even for experienced walkers and will involve rough mountain paths on open fell, forested valleys and crossing working farmland. During this tour of some of South Wales most beautiful scenery, we will take you past historic landmarks, past the site of a coal mining disaster, over steep hills and across babbling streams. You will pass the 3 bears cave and we will even throw in a fairy castle for you to admire. You will pass through the counties of Cardiff, Rhondda Cynon Taff and Caerphilly.
