St Edward's Coffee Concerts are fund raising concerts. This year we are raising awareness of and funds for South Wales Goalball, a sport for the visually impaired.

Anne and Vanda are performing a lovely programme of songs by composers from Italy, France, America, England and Wales, many of them by female composers.
Anne Wilkins
Soprano Anne Wilkins was born in Neath, South Wales and spent her early years living in the village of Glynneath. Anne was educated at the School for the Blind, Bridgend and Royal National College for the Blind when it was based at Rowton Castle, Shrewsbury. Anne then worked firstly as a Typist and then as an Administrative Assistant for South Wales Police and was awarded the British Empire Medal (B.E.M), in the 1991 New Year’s Honours List for her years of service to South Wales Police. In 2011, Anne took early retirement from her job to devote more time to the musical career which she had always wanted to follow.
Specialising in Oratorio, concert and recital work, Anne has gained ARCM and FTCL diplomas in singing performance and continues to study with Jeanette Massocchi and has performed as soloist with many choirs and choral societies throughout Wales. Anne has also given recitals in venues across Wales and beyond.
Anne has had considerable success in Eisteddfodau and was the Winner of the David Ellis Memorial Blue Ribband at the 2012 National Eisteddfod of Wales held in the Vale of Glamorgan.
In 2019, Anne travelled to Hong Kong where she gave a Masterclass to young singers with vision impairments who are aiming to work as professional musicians and she also ran a workshop on Braille Music for teachers of vision impaired students.
Anne is a member of an RNIB Task Group which works to improve the accessibility of Braille Music and as well as having a busy schedule as a performer, Anne also teaches Singing and Piano from her home in Bridgend to people who are fully-sighted and also teaches Braille Music to students online at GCSE level and also advises teachers of visually impaired students who work with Braille Music at A level.
Anne appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show on BBC1 in January, 2023 as the unexpected star of the evening when she sang a duet with Sir Bryn Terfel and more recently was interviewed on ITV Wales’ Face-to-Face programme where she was interviewed by Adrian Masters. Future performances include a concert on 3rd October, 2025 in St David’s Church, Neath, with the Pontardulais Male Voice Choir.
Vanda Koseda trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and performs widely as a soloist and accompanist. Her enthusiasm for contemporary music led to a recital in London for The Composer's Guild of Great Britain, featuring Twelve Variations on a Polish Dance Melody, written for her by Welsh composer David Nevens.
Passionate about the music of Latin America, she is preparing for a third appearance at the El Sueno festival in mid Wales
