August is Elvis Presley month, and this year we will be commemorating the 48th anniversary of his passing on 16 August 1977.
In honour of Elvis, James Marais and Monique Cassells will be presenting their tribute show, "From Memphis to Las Vegas: Elvis Presley Tribute", at Café Roux in Noordhoek, on Sunday, 17 August 2025.
The show starts at 5pm, with doors opening at 4pm for a delicious early dinner.

In this Elvis Presley tribute, James and Monique celebrate the man, the music, the costumes, and most genres of music that Elvis covered in his illustrious career from the 1950s to the 1970s, including rock 'n roll, pop, ballads, Country and Gospel. They pay tribute to the 1950s, when Elvis became an international phenomenon, the movie years of the 1960s, and the 1970s touring years and Las Vegas performances. James and Monique alternate as a duo and solo performers throughout, along with colourful costume changes.
James and Monique are a popular duo, known for their tributes to the legends from the 1950s to the 1990s. "From Memphis to Las Vegas: Elvis Presley Tribute" is a treat for all Elvis fans, and you can expect to hear all the hits, including "Heartbreak Hotel", "Blue Suede Shoes", "All Shook Up", "Jailhouse Rock", "Can't Help Falling in Love", "It's Now or Never", "Suspicious Minds" and many more!
You can expect an authentic and respectful tribute to one of the greatest musical phenomenons the world has ever seen. James provides vocals, moves, charisma and costumes that are uncannily similar to Elvis, while Monique compliments him with her powerhouse renditions of Elvis hits. In addition, James and Monique's duets provide something unique and fresh to an Elvis tribute.
