Art often hides in plain sight, and in this mixed media workshop Tristan will help you find it!

Consider blackout poetry a word search that ends in a poem. Finding blackout poems is such a fun way to exercise your brain and in the process discover something new. We will begin the workshop with finding blackout poems in old books and magazines, and after picking one you like, we will illustrate it with collage. Your weirdest ideas will pop onto the page in unexpected and exciting ways! You will leave with a 5x7 or 8x10 blackout collage that tells a story only you can tell. All supplies and materials will be provided, but feel free to bring any materials you'd like to work with for your personal use.

If you'd like to continue working at home with the tools provided, they will be available for purchase at the end of class.
