This Dine & Donate is in loving memory of David King who passed away July 13th following a traumatic brain injury sustained in a fall on July 4th. As a result of this tragedy, David was life flighted to AGH where he was placed in the ICU Trauma unit and underwent an emergency life saving surgery to mitigate a severe brain bleed caused by the brain injury. After the surgery, David had 3 major strokes that he ultimately never recovered from. He spent the next week receiving treatments to attempt to restore him to his pre-injury state. Sadly, his injuries were too pervasive, and the damage was irreversible.
Mounting medical expenses incurred for LifeFlight, along with the 9 critical care days in ICU, are significant, and we would like to help his wife Jenn defray those expenses, as well as see that she has funds available to accommodate David’s funeral expenses, her own medical bills, household expenses, lost wages, car payment and daily needs such as groceries.
David leaves behind his loving wife Jenn of 30 years and their fur babies. He was a published author, hysterically funny and a music, Star Trek and Comic Con lover. To know David was to never forget his sense of humor, compassion and his devotion to Jenn.
Because David was a selfless Organ Donor, he was able to save 3 lives.
