The Wine Workshop: Wines of the World

Love wine? Want to learn why you love the wines you do? Join us for monthly, guided, exclusive tastings in store! On the last Friday of each month we'll cover a different wine region from all around the world. We'll discuss what grapes are grown in the areas, how their wines are classified, and what winemaking traditions are followed. We'll also taste three to four wines ranging in quality from the cheap and cheerful to the premium. You will learn more about what wines pair well with certain foods, and how to ask the right questions to find the right wine in the future. You will take home a bottle of the "Mid Level" wine to enjoy again at home, and you will have the opportunity to join the UnWined Insiders. After each tasting event we host you will receive an email recap of the topics we covered, the wines we tasted, and notes for those wines.

Bordeaux is where I had wanted to start this course as many of the traditions here have become standards all around the world. Unfortunately some delays prevented that, but we are here now! We'll cover the left and right banks, and the stuff in between, along with what grapes are grown, what traditions are followed, and the many different classification systems. It's a lot to cover but the wines make it all worth it!

Entry level: Entre-Deux-Mers

Mid level: Right Bank

Premium: Left Bank (Pauillac)

As we are tasting wines, this is an 18+ event.
