Join us as we gather in the beautiful NWMP Barracks Garden to explore the connections between food, memory, and culture.
Together, we’ll:
• Reflect on the food traditions that shape our lives in a welcoming sharing circle
• Try hands-on herb preservation using salt, oil, and butter
• Sip tea, connect through conversation, and honour the diverse ways food connects us to place and people
All materials will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring a journal, recipe, or a story to share.
Whether you’re a passionate home cook, curious about food heritage, or simply want to spend a thoughtful evening in the garden—this gathering is for you.
This event is in collaboration with the Bow Valley Food Alliance and is part of our Garden Gatherings series at the NWMP Barracks heritage gardens, bringing the community together for connection, learning, creativity, and care for the land.
This event is possible with support from the Town of Canmore’s Community Grants program.
