Originally from Victoria, BC, pianist and composer Kate Wyatt is now recognized as one of Montreal’s top-tier jazz musicians. Critically praised as having “musical ideas and a style of playing and writing on par with the current jazz piano elite” (Brad Mehldau, Shai Maestro, Fred Hersch), Kate has become a standout voice in Canadian jazz.

A veteran of national and international jazz festivals, she has performed alongside celebrated artists like Kenny Wheeler, Ranee Lee, Don Thompson, Christine Jensen, and the Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal (ONJ). Her latest album, Artifact (2022), showcases her original compositions brought to life by an all-star ensemble.

With a passion for improvisation, innovation, and deep musical connection, Kate Wyatt delivers performances that are both intimate and electrifying—a must-see for jazz lovers.
