Celebrate the changing of the season with the Canmore Museum’s annual Community Garden Harvest at the historic NWMP Barracks! This yearly tradition brings the community together to gather vegetables and herbs lovingly grown in the heritage gardens throughout the summer. All of the produce harvested will be donated to the local food bank, supporting food security here in the Bow Valley.
More than just a harvest, this event offers a chance to:
🌿 Learn about the history of the NWMP Barracks and the heritage garden.
🌱 Discover how you can volunteer with the Canmore Museum and in the gardens.
🥕 Connect with others while taking part in a community tradition.
🍵 Enjoy light refreshments in the gardens.
No gardening experience is required - just bring your enthusiasm, clothes that can get dirty, sturdy footwear, and sun protection. Everyone is welcome to participate in this hands-on, community-focused experience.
Registration is required to ensure we can prepare for all participants.
This year’s Community Garden Harvest is part of the Canmore Museum’s Garden Gatherings series, generously funded by the Town of Canmore.
Come lend a hand, learn, and celebrate the harvest with us - we can’t wait to see you in the garden!
