The Dalmatians deliver their alternative rock through blues, folk, funk, and even ska riffs. Influences include The Church, The Rubens, The Strokes, Paul Kelly, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, David Bowie, and Hunters and Collectors.
A Dalmatians show provides immersive grooves, catchy licks, great story telling, lush keys and vocal harmonies. Wil has a strong and genuine vocal reminiscent of Steve Kilbey. Jonny provides wondrous grooves and sparkling textures from his electric bouzouki! Hayden’s keys are something to behold while Naomi and Mansell brings it all together with a gloriously tight rhythm section.
The Dalmatians songs are humorous and engaging and our current single Sunshine is a fun poke at R U OK day. The lasting experience of fans at a D’s gig is of a bouncing fun event that reflects on our current times. With their easy-going demeanours, eons of experience and diverse playlist, expect The Dalmatians to charm your musical pants off!

Lavers is an indie rock/folk band from Canberra, known for melodic songwriting, heartfelt lyrics and powerful live performances. Blending atmospheric guitars with emotive vocals, the band draws inspiration from artists like Crowded House, Ryan Adams and The War on Drugs.
This intimate acoustic show at Smith’s Alternative features brothers Dominic and Sebastian Lavers as they road-test new material ahead of their second album, due for release later this year. The fresh songs are sure to resonate with the band’s loyal following, built over years of playing festivals and sharing stages with artists including Julia Stone, Jon Stevens, Dami Im and Canberra’s own Amber Nichols.
With a string of independent releases behind them – including recent singles Whiskey Nights, Angel and Highways to a Dream – this is a chance to experience Lavers’ dynamic storytelling and live energy in a stripped-back setting.
