The Armed Man

The National Capital Orchestra and the Canberra Choral Society are joining forces once again for the biggest concert event of the year!

Come see hundreds of local musicians, along with soloists Jillian Halleron (Soprano) and Liam Meany (Cello), under the baton of NCO Music Director Louis Sharpe, perform two epic works for chorus and orchestra -

Legendary Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin's Human Waves, which paints a vibrant picture of the immigrant experience in Australia (including an entertaining ode to Australia's favourite salty spread, Vegemite!); and

Sir Karl Jenkins' popular and moving work, The Armed Man, A Mass for Peace, which explores the devastation of war through a wide range of texts and cultural traditions.
