🎶 A Latin American Week special workshop with Eduardo Ruiz
Step into the elegant and expressive world of the Peruvian Vals (Waltz)! 🇵🇪✨
This hands-on 2-hour guitar workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate guitarists who are curious about Latin American rhythms and harmonies. Led by Peruvian classical guitarist and educator Eduardo Ruiz, you’ll explore one of Peru’s most cherished musical traditions in a fun, creative, and collaborative environment.
🎼 Whether you’re new to Latin styles or want to expand your repertoire, this workshop offers:
🎵 Core strumming patterns like Tundente & Periquete
🎵 Fingerstyle arpeggios and easy scales for improvisation
🎵 Traditional Peruvian melodies and chord progressions
🎵 Small ensemble playing and group performance practice
💡 By the end of the session, you’ll have a deeper understanding of the Peruvian waltz and practical tools to keep exploring this beautiful genre.

🎯 Skill level: This workshop is for people who already play the guitar (minimum: can play barre chords) and want to dive into the Peruvian waltz tradition. Materials provided in both standard notation and tablature.
