European melodies, shrouded in mystery, tell stories, lost and found. Songs in the woods are familiar and edgy, where the night breathes life and the days are bright and wild.

Anushka in the Woods is a collaboration between Anna Simic and Dave Evans. Together they write original songs: Anushka’s words and vocals, Dave’s music, accordion and piano.

Drawing inspiration from Eastern European Folklore, Simic and Evans deliver a transformative live music experience, inviting their audience on a journey into a world of magic realism.

Full of nostalgia and vivid imagery, the dynamic atmosphere shifts between edgy 'Folk Noir' and reinvented fairy tales, tender, bold and often absurd.
