Ladies and Germs,
Our next Full Moon Hash is fast approaching. The night before our dear leader’s birthday and Beer Mile, we will gather at Kershaw Park at 7pm for an evening of Hashing, right in front of the bathrooms and swimming area. It will be a three-to-four-mile run, with a surprise ending location for the down-down and refreshments. Attached below is the text that Jesus wrote for our first Hash, so take a look at it if you are unfamiliar. If you haven’t done one, come out; it’s a great time.

Present and Future Logistics Information:
-- For now, Peacemakers Full Moon HHH (as we will be known) will be organized once a month in the Town and City of Canandaigua, with the possibility of expanding in the future depending on level of interest and other factors.
-- It will be organized once a month; at 7 PM SHARP, on the day of the Full Moon according to the Old Farmer's Almanac (
https://www.almanac.com/astronomy/moon/calendar/NY/Rochester).
-- Hares will be designated by our newly appointed Hare-raiser (Trent Walters), and they will be in charge of creating a fun and memorable route each time, of about 3-4 miles'ish. The idea being we are out there running, hiking or walking for no more than 1 hour.
—- MOST IMPORTANT , in a HHH event, you will be following signs made with flour , chalk or similar, routes won’t be made public, but you will be able to follow different signs that tell you whether or not you are on trail . Check discussion comments for more on the different signs you can expect
-- HHH events expect each hasher to contribute with a small fee that gives you access to "Unlimited" beer and snacks/food after the run. We are still working out how this is going to work out. "Virgins" (or anyone who has never done a HHH event before, do not pay for their first time)
Hash House Harriers are often described as a "drinking club with a running problem," emphasizing the social and lighthearted nature of the group. So, see outlined below, some of the things to look forward if you decide to join us on this new adventure:
-- Memorable urban trail runs, some of which might include beer checkpoints
-- A Desire for Fun and Camaraderie, be open minded, have a sense of humor, and in general do not take thinks too seriously, at least not for the sake of silly fun jokes
-- A non-competitive spirit, at least during HHH events. It really is open to 100% everyone.
-- Every run, hike or walk, will finish on a Post-run "circles" often involving what we refer to as "down-downs," a unique tradition of consuming a drink (typically beer) for various reasons, including recognizing new members, visitors, and most certainly for "punishing" participants "misdemeanors" such as shortcutting and much more.
-- During the circle some singing will be encourage, even if the lyrics might sound a little naughty, all in the spirit of having a good time and a laugh.
-- After attending several runs or doing something particularly noteworthy or amusing, new members are often given a unique "hash name".
