Join the Natural Resource Council of Maine on Monday, 9/22 at Zoot Coffee in Camden from 5-7pm for an evening of environmental advocacy and skills training!
Hear from NRCM's Federal Policy Advocate, Anya Fetcher, and Regional Outreach Coordinator, Nate Hathaway, about what's at risk for Maine in the proposed federal budget cuts. Connect with others in your community who share a love for Maine's environment, and grow your advocacy skillset by learning how to write an effective letter to the editor.
This skill enables everyday people to speak up for issues they care about, be heard by decision-makers, local press outlets, and other members of the public, and create power behind movements and campaigns using personal stories and calls to action. Fact sheets will be available as well as contact information for local and statewide media outlets to submit letters to.
BYO laptop or writing materials, snacks and light refreshments available.
The event is free, but please RSVP here to let us know you'll be joining us:
