The Unexpected Pairing of Wine and BBQ

Barbecue is quintessential summer cooking, and what better way to enjoy it than with a chilled adult beverage? For most people, that means beer. After all, an ice-cold beer with ribs, pulled pork, or barbecued chicken are well known and loved combination. But, what about wine? Did you know there are wines that pair fantastically with all that delicious food coming off the grill?

Join food & wine enthusiast Adam Centamore for an evening enjoying incredible wine-pairing combinations featuring Formaggio Kitchen's own famous streetside barbecue. In this class, we flip the script on traditional barbecue pairings and discover how tannins tame spice, how acidity cuts through rich, smoky meats, and why a chilled rosé might be the unsung hero of your next cookout. This interactive class includes guided tastings, pairing strategies, and mouthwatering BBQ bites. Perfect for wine lovers, grill enthusiasts, and anyone ready to rethink what belongs in their glass at the grill.

To fully participate in the class:

1. Reserve your ticket through Eventbrite! Purchase one ticket for each member of your party. The ticket price includes admission for one as well as a wine, and accompaniments for one. Guests can expect light fare to go with the beverage pairings.

2. This is a standing event in our retail learning setting. The duration of the class is about an hour and a half. After class, there will be time to tour our cheese caves as well as shop our expansive product selection (at a 10% discount!).

3. This event is for 21+. CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are unable to attend a class, please let us know at least 72 hours before the class is scheduled to take place and we will give you a full refund or a credit for a future class.
